Some stories begin with a business plan.

Ours began with five beehives.

In 2010, we were given five hives, a gift that I saw as an answer to prayer. I couldn’t have imagined then how profoundly those hives would shape the years ahead.

At the time, I was homeschooling our three children. My days were filled with lesson plans, books scattered across the dining table, football training, piano lessons, art projects and all the beautiful chaos that comes with raising a family.

Life was busy, but it was rich with purpose.

The hives quietly became part of that rhythm.

What started as five boxes of bees soon became something much more. They taught us patience. They taught us responsibility. They reminded us that some of life’s sweetest rewards come only after faithful, consistent work.

That’s where the name Miss Bee Haven was born.

Long before there was a collection of handcrafted products, there was honey. For more than a decade, our raw honey found its way into the homes of family, friends and loyal customers who appreciated pure Jamaican honey, harvested with care and shared with love.

The brand grew quietly.

There were no grand launches.

No elaborate marketing campaigns.

Just one jar at a time.

As I spent more time around the bees, I found myself fascinated by the way they lived.

Every bee has a purpose.

Every bee contributes.

No one works for recognition, yet together they create something extraordinary.

The hive became more than a source of honey. It became a source of inspiration.

Without even realising it, many of the values I admired in the hive were becoming the values that would shape Miss Bee Haven: faithfulness, community, patience, purpose and care.

As the years passed, I began creating products for my own family. Each one was born from a real need, carefully researched, thoughtfully made and lovingly shared. I never imagined those personal creations would one day become part of the Miss Bee Haven story, but looking back, it feels as though every step was preparing the way for the next.

Today, Miss Bee Haven is still built on the same foundation it began with.

A love for nature.

A respect for the remarkable work of the honeybee.

A desire to create products with care and intention.

And a belief that the best things in life are rarely rushed.

This journal is an invitation to step beyond the label.

Here, I’ll share the stories behind the products, lessons I’ve learned from the bees, life in our Jamaican apiary, recipes from my kitchen and the experiences that continue to shape this little brand that means so much to me.

Whether you’ve been with us from the beginning or you’ve only just discovered Miss Bee Haven, thank you for being here.

I’m so glad our paths have crossed.

A Thought from the Hive

Bees don’t build a thriving hive in a single day. They do it through thousands of small acts, repeated faithfully over time.

Perhaps the most meaningful things in our own lives are built the very same way.

Until next time, thank you for spending a little time in the hive.

From the hive to your home,

💛 Tricia
